Evangeline the Oyster Girl is Ginger Valentine. She was officially sanctioned by the original Evangeline the Oyster Girl, Kitty West. West first performed the act in 1948 on Bourbon Street. Miss Valentine reprises the role after studying the original act, and learning from Kitty West. Ginger Valentine won the coveted “Queen of Burlesque” title at the 2011 New Orleans Burlesque Festival. She performs extensively all over the South, and will bring the Oyster Girl act to The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas at part of the annual Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend.
